Before we met Cam, our house search was proceeding slowly even though we were working with an agent and the clock was ticking as we had already sold our house and wanted to buy a new property. We were working with an agent who for whatever reason, we did not manage to build a rapport. He was not very proactive or responsive. We got feedback only on listings that we had found. What’s the point of having an agent, if he/she is not looking with you and opening your horizons? And then we met Cam. We met Cam at an open house and immediately formed a rapport. He came over to our house for an orientation on a Sunday and gave us a market overview of areas we were interested in. After our experience with the previous agent, my partner, who doesn’t like to mince words asked Cam point blank if we were going to be a priority. He said yes. And he kept his word. He did not disappoint us. He proposed houses, combined his list with ours and toured selected properties with us. He listened to both of us (as buying a house is a process of negotiation) to understand what we were looking for in our new home. He was also very proactive and helpful in drawing up each offer we made and handling the negotiating process which is tricky in a very competitive seller's market such as Boston. He was also very patient when we changed our minds about a couple of properties. When it came time to make offers, we particularly liked the way he determined a good price for a likely winning offer, based on a comparison of recent list prices and actual sale prices. In the end, we ended up buying a condo in an area of Boston that we had initially ignored and are enjoying getting to know this new neighborhood. Without hesitation, we would recommend Cam.
